POLICE PERIMETER quickly detects an Officer’s location via GPS and configures a perimeter in the desired radius. The perimeter will then show up on the map as an outline so that the Officer can tell responding units where to set up. The Officer will also be able to place pins on the map where units need to be in order to establish the perimeter. The Unit ID and Officer name and Department may be entered in order to know which units are on the perimeter.
This app can be used when Officers are tracking phone pings that only give a certain metric radius. The Officers will be able to establish the approximate area the suspect is in and know where to search.
Other uses for Police Perimeter are for First Responders in situations such as fires, chemical spills, bomb call outs in order to know the area/perimeter needed to evacuate. Search in Rescue units may also use this app in establishing the exact area/perimeter needed for a search.
Perimeters can be established in meters, kilometers and miles.
Future updates will allow Officers to communicate through the app. When one Officer starts a perimeter, all other Officers in the area will be alerted via the app and will be able to assist with the perimeter and show where they will be setting up.
